These pistons are made to handle up to 1500 horsepower and over 1,500 horsepower with upgraded pins.

- Upgraded 0.250” 9310 or 300M pins are available when adding to cart.

Do I still need machining with a full engine kit?
Yes. The block must be honed and all clearances checked and set by your builder. Assembly should only occur after full measurement and verification.
What is the maximum horsepower these conrods and pistons can handle?
The Spool H Beam conrods and CP forged pistons are designed for high power applications, with the pistons capable of handling up to 1500 horsepower and even more with upgraded pins. However, actual reliability will depend on proper machining, clearances, tuning, and the specific setup of your Barra engine.
What compression ratios are available for the CP pistons?
The CP pistons in this kit are available in three compression ratios: 9.0:1 with a bore of +0.005" or +0.5mm, and 10.0:1 with a bore of +0.25mm. Choose the ratio that best suits your performance goals and engine setup.
Do I need to modify my engine for these conrods and pistons?
While the Spool conrods and pistons are designed to fit the Barra XR6 engine, you may need to perform some machining, such as honing the big-end or small-end of the conrods and ensuring correct bore clearance and ring gaps for the pistons. Always consult with your engine builder for specific requirements.
What type of fasteners are included with the conrods?
The conrods come standard with ARP 2000 fasteners, which provide excellent strength for high-performance applications. If you require even greater strength, L19 fasteners are available as an upgrade.
