Bush to Gudgeon Pin Clearance

All SPOOL custom conrods are manufactured with a semi finished bronze bush small end. Most experienced engine builders prefer semi finished small ends as the pin to bush clearance isn't fixed and can be set at the appropriate tolerance for the application of the engine.

When assembling a high performance engine, all measurable tolerances should be checked and double checked thoroughly. This is part of the true process of engine blue printing - not just engine assembly.
