Spool Imports offers a complete custom-piston design service in partnership with CP Carrillo USA. If your build requires a piston made to your exact specifications—big boost, custom stroke, rare engines, or professional motorsport—this service gives you full control over every detail.

Once your form is submitted, our technical team checks your measurements and forwards the details to CP Carrillo for design confirmation, pricing, and an estimated production timeframe. Standard manufacturing takes 5–8 weeks, with longer timelines when coatings or additional treatments are selected.
As CP Carrillo’s largest Australian distributor, Spool Imports ensures priority communication, accurate guidance, and a smooth process from submission to delivery.
How the Process Works

- Submit your specifications through the website or email.
- We review your details and forward them to CP Carrillo.
- CP issues a formal quote and estimated lead time.
- Manufacturing begins once the quote is approved and paid.
- Once manufacturing begins the order cannot be changed, cancelled or refunded.
- Pistons ship to Spool Imports and then directly to you.

How long do custom pistons take?
Most orders take 5–8 weeks. Coatings and specialised treatments will extend the timeframe.
What information do I need to provide?
The form captures all required piston data: bore size, stroke, rod length, compression ratio, chamber details, ring pack choices, and pin specifications.
Can you help with specifications?
Yes. If you're unsure about any measurement, our team can guide you before submitting the design to CP Carrillo.
Do I have to pay at the time of order?
Yes. Once the quote is approved, you must pay in full before manufacturing can comence. Once manufacturing begins, the order can not be changed, cancelled or refunded.
Are custom pistons stronger?
Yes. CP Carrillo pistons are made from premium 2618 alloy forgings with precise CNC machining, designed for high-horsepower and motorsport applications.
Does adding coatings change the production time?
Yes. Coatings require additional processing steps and will increase lead time.
