- Verify sump, pickup and accessory drive combinations during mock-up.
Installation Tips
- Inspect the pickup O-ring and replace if in doubt (use the correct GM O-ring for your pickup tube).
- Lightly lubricate seals, prime the pump before start-up and follow OEM torque procedures.
- Check pickup-to-pan clearance (commonly ~6–8 mm) and ensure no baffle interference.
- Confirm hot idle and cruise oil pressure with a gauge or scan tool after installation.

- PUG001 Pickup Tube Girdle for added security at the pump/pickup joint
