What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What machining is required for the Carrillo conrods SCR4269?

The Carrillo conrods for the 2JZ engine may require honing of the big-end and small-end to achieve the correct clearances due to manufacturing tolerances. Always verify the fitment with your crankshaft and pistons to ensure optimal performance.

What is the recommended application for the SCR4269 conrods?

These conrods are designed for high-performance applications in the Toyota 2JZ engine, making them suitable for both street and race use. They excel in setups with increased boost and RPM, but reliability will depend on proper tuning and machining.

What is the weight of the SCR4269 conrods?

The total weight of each Carrillo conrod SCR4269 is approximately 601 grams, with a rotating weight of 423 grams and a reciprocating weight of 178 grams. This weight contributes to the overall performance and balance of your engine.

Are there any specific installation tips for the SCR4269 conrods?

When installing the SCR4269 conrods, ensure that the rod bolts are torqued or stretched according to ARP specifications. Additionally, confirm that the conrods are oriented correctly and that all surfaces are clean to prevent any contamination during assembly.

What is the expected lead time for the SCR4269 conrods?

The Carrillo conrods SCR4269 are special order items. If not in stock, please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. We will inform you of the estimated time of arrival if there are any delays.
