What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the recommended machining for the Carrillo conrods SCR9715?

The Carrillo conrods SCR9715 may require honing of the big-end bore to ensure proper fitment with the crankshaft. It's essential to check the clearances and ensure they meet the specifications of your engine build.

What is the weight of the SCR9715 conrods?

The total weight of each SCR9715 conrod is approximately 557 grams, with a rotating weight of 383 grams and a reciprocating weight of 174 grams. This weight contributes to the overall performance and balance of your engine.

Can I use these conrods with other engine setups?

The SCR9715 conrods are specifically designed for the VW TSI 2.0L engine with a 23mm pin. Using them in other engine setups may require modifications or may not be compatible due to differences in dimensions and specifications.

What is the pin width of the SCR9715 conrods?

The pin width of the SCR9715 conrods is 0.862 inches (21.89 mm). Ensure that your pistons are compatible with this pin width for proper assembly.

What is the centre-to-centre measurement of the SCR9715 conrods?

The centre-to-centre measurement of the SCR9715 conrods is 5.67 inches. This measurement is critical for ensuring proper fitment within the engine block and alignment with the crankshaft.
