What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the recommended machining for the Spool RB25 Drag Pro conrods?

The Spool RB25 Drag Pro conrods may require big-end or small-end honing to ensure proper fitment due to variations in journal and pin sizes. Always check clearances and tolerances based on your specific engine build.

Can I use these conrods in a stock RB25 engine?

While the Spool RB25 Drag Pro conrods are designed for high-performance applications, they can be used in stock RB25 engines. However, ensure that the engine is properly tuned and that the rest of the components can handle the increased strength and potential power output.

What are the benefits of the 7/16 ARP2000 bolts used in these conrods?

The 7/16 ARP2000 bolts provide increased tensile strength and reliability under high-stress conditions, making them suitable for extreme applications. They help maintain the integrity of the conrod during high RPM and high horsepower situations.

What type of engine builds are these conrods best suited for?

The Spool RB25 Drag Pro conrods are ideal for high-performance builds, including drag racing and circuit applications, where reliability and strength are critical. They are built to handle extreme power levels, typically exceeding 1000 RWHP, depending on the overall engine setup.

Are there any specific installation tips for the Spool RB25 Drag Pro conrods?

When installing the Spool RB25 Drag Pro conrods, ensure that you follow the recommended torque specifications for the ARP2000 bolts, using ARP Ultra-Torque lubricant. Additionally, verify that the conrods are properly aligned and that you have the correct bearing clearances as per your engine's requirements.
