What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the recommended machining for the SCR7080 conrods?

The SCR7080 conrods may require honing of the big-end or small-end to achieve the correct journal and pin sizes, as there can be variations in OEM specifications. Always verify clearances with your engine builder.

What is the weight of the SCR7080 conrods?

The total weight of each SCR7080 conrod is approximately 567 grams, with a rotating weight of 413 grams and a reciprocating weight of 154 grams. This weight contributes to the overall performance of your 1JZ engine.

What are the specifications for the big end bore of the SCR7080 conrods?

The big end bore of the SCR7080 conrods is 2.167 inches (55.042 mm). Ensure that your crankshaft journals match this specification for optimal fitment.

Can I use SCR7080 conrods in a high-performance application?

Yes, the SCR7080 conrods are designed for high-performance applications, including racing. They are manufactured from proprietary steel forgings, offering a high strength-to-weight ratio suitable for extreme use, provided that proper machining and tuning are followed.

What is the centre-to-centre measurement of the SCR7080 conrods?

The centre-to-centre measurement of the SCR7080 conrods is 4.931 inches (125.25 mm). This dimension is crucial for ensuring compatibility with the 1JZ engine block.
