What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What are the specific machining requirements for the Carrillo conrods SCR4850?

The Carrillo conrods SCR4850 may require honing of the big-end or small-end due to manufacturing tolerances. Always check the fitment with your crankshaft and pistons to ensure proper clearances before installation.

What is the recommended application for the SCR4850 conrods?

The SCR4850 conrods are designed for high-performance applications in the Nissan VQ35DE and VQ35HR engines. They are suitable for both street and racing use, providing a strong and lightweight option for builds requiring increased reliability under high power levels.

What is the weight of each Carrillo SCR4850 conrod?

Each Carrillo SCR4850 conrod has a total weight of 539 grams, with a rotating weight of 378 grams and a reciprocating weight of 161 grams. This weight distribution contributes to improved engine performance and responsiveness.

Can I use these conrods with aftermarket pistons?

Yes, the SCR4850 conrods can be used with aftermarket pistons, but it is crucial to ensure that the piston pin diameter and the overall assembly clearances are compatible. Always consult with your engine builder to confirm fitment.

What type of fasteners are included with the SCR4850 conrods?

The SCR4850 conrods come with custom-designed ARP2000 bolts as standard. These bolts provide excellent strength and reliability, making them suitable for high-performance applications. Always follow ARP's installation instructions for proper torque specifications.
