What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What machining is required for the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods?

The Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods may require big-end or small-end honing to ensure proper fitment, as factory journal and pin sizes can vary. It's crucial to check clearances and ensure the conrods fit correctly within your engine.

What is the recommended installation procedure for the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods?

When installing the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods, ensure that the conrods are properly aligned and that the bolts are torqued or stretched according to ARP specifications. Follow the latest ARP instructions for the specific fasteners used.

Can the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods handle high RPM applications?

Yes, the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods are designed for high-performance applications and can handle significant RPMs. However, reliability will depend on proper machining, clearances, and tuning specific to your engine setup.

What are the benefits of using WMC H11 Tool Steel Fasteners in these conrods?

WMC H11 Tool Steel Fasteners provide enhanced reliability and strength, which is critical in high horsepower applications. They help maintain consistent bolt stretch, ensuring the conrods perform optimally under stress.

Is there a specific torque specification for the bolts used in the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods?

The torque specifications for the bolts used in the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods will depend on the type of fasteners installed. Always refer to ARP's latest instructions for the correct torque values or stretch measurements for your specific bolts.
