What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the recommended application for the Carrillo conrods SCR6999?

The Carrillo conrods SCR6999 are designed specifically for the Mitsubishi 4G63 engine, particularly in the 2nd Generation models and Lancer EVO. They are suitable for performance applications where strength and reliability are critical.

What are the specifications of the big end and pin bore for these conrods?

The big end bore of the SCR6999 conrods is approximately 1.8897 inches (48mm), and the pin bore is 22mm. Ensure these dimensions are compatible with your crankshaft and pistons for optimal performance.

Do I need to perform any machining on the SCR6999 conrods before installation?

While the SCR6999 conrods are precision manufactured, it is advisable to check the big-end and small-end for proper fitment. Depending on your specific engine setup, you may need to hone the big-end or small-end to achieve the correct clearances.

What is the weight of the SCR6999 conrods, and how does it affect performance?

The total weight of each SCR6999 conrod is approximately 585 grams, with a rotating weight of 405 grams. A lighter conrod can improve engine response and RPM capabilities, but ensure that the overall rotating assembly is balanced for reliability.

What type of fasteners are included with the SCR6999 conrods?

The SCR6999 conrods come with 3/8 inch ARP2000 bolts as standard. These bolts are designed for high-performance applications, providing excellent strength and reliability under extreme conditions.
