What is the difference between the Optima 34 and Optima 34R?
The 34R is the reverse-polarity version of the Optima 34. The terminals are located on the opposite sides compared to the standard 34 case. This is important for vehicles where the factory wiring loom cannot be safely routed to a standard 34 battery.
Is the Optima 34R a starting battery or a deep-cycle battery?
The 34R is a starting battery only. It’s designed to deliver powerful cranking bursts for reliable engine ignition. If you need a battery to run accessories like winches, light bars or fridges for long periods, the Yellow Top (deep-cycle) range is recommended.
Does the Optima 34R last longer than a regular lead-acid battery?
Yes. Thanks to its AGM SpiralCell technology, the 34R can last up to three times longer than traditional flooded batteries. It is also far more resistant to heat, vibration and internal degradation.
Can the Optima 34R be mounted in any orientation?
