What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What are the specific machining requirements for the Carrillo Conrods SCR7051?

The Carrillo Conrods SCR7051 for the CA18 engine may require honing of the big-end or small-end to achieve the correct clearances. It's essential to check the journal and pin sizes against your crankshaft and pistons to ensure proper fitment.

What is the recommended application for the Carrillo Conrods SCR7051?

These conrods are designed for high-performance applications, particularly in racing environments. They are suitable for builds aiming for increased power levels in the Nissan CA18 and CA18DET engines, but reliability will depend on proper machining, tuning, and overall engine setup.

What is the weight of the Carrillo Conrods SCR7051?

The total weight of the Carrillo Conrods SCR7051 is approximately 460 grams, with a rotating weight of 330 grams and a reciprocating weight of 130 grams. This weight contributes to the overall performance and balance of your engine.

Can I use these conrods with aftermarket pistons?

Yes, the Carrillo Conrods SCR7051 can be used with aftermarket pistons, but it's crucial to ensure that the piston pin diameter and height are compatible with the conrod specifications. Always verify clearances and fitment during assembly.

What is the significance of the Pro H beam design in these conrods?

The Pro H beam design of the Carrillo Conrods SCR7051 offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, which is critical for performance applications. This design helps reduce weight while maintaining the structural integrity needed to withstand high RPMs and loads commonly found in racing scenarios.
