What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What machining is required for the Carrillo conrods SCR4622?

The Carrillo conrods SCR4622 for the Mitsubishi 4B11T may require honing of the big-end or small-end to ensure proper fitment due to manufacturing tolerances. Always verify clearances with your specific crankshaft and pistons.

What is the recommended application for the SCR4622 conrods?

The SCR4622 conrods are designed for high-performance applications, particularly in racing environments. They are suitable for builds aiming for increased power levels, but reliability will depend on proper machining, tuning, and fuel quality.

What is the weight of the SCR4622 conrods?

The total weight of each SCR4622 conrod is approximately 552 grams, with a rotating weight of 390 grams and a reciprocating weight of 162 grams. This weight contributes to the overall performance and balance of your engine.

Are there any specific installation tips for the SCR4622 conrods?

When installing the SCR4622 conrods, ensure that you follow the manufacturer's guidelines for bolt torque or stretch, depending on the fastener type used. Additionally, check that the conrods are properly aligned with the crankshaft and pistons to avoid any binding.

What is the centre-to-centre measurement for the SCR4622 conrods?

The centre-to-centre measurement for the SCR4622 conrods is 5.659 inches (143.75 mm). This dimension is critical for ensuring compatibility with the Mitsubishi 4B11T engine.
