What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the weight of the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods?

The Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods weigh a total of 486 grams, with a rotating weight of 339 grams and a reciprocating weight of 147 grams. This weight distribution is designed to enhance performance and reduce stress on the engine.

What are the specifications for the pin and bore sizes on these conrods?

These conrods use a 22mm pin size for the small end, with a small end bore of 0.8672 inches (22mm) and a big end bore of 2.0866 inches (53mm). Ensure compatibility with your RB30 engine when selecting these conrods.

Do these conrods require any specific machining before installation?

While the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods come fully machined, it is advisable to check the big-end and small-end clearances to ensure proper fitment. Depending on your engine's specific setup, additional honing may be necessary.

What is the centre-to-centre measurement of these conrods?

The centre-to-centre measurement of the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods is 6.000 inches (152.4mm). This dimension is critical for ensuring correct alignment and fitment within the engine.

Are these conrods suitable for high-performance applications?

Yes, the Carrillo Alloy RB30 conrods are designed for high-performance applications. They feature pocketing to reduce weight and come standard with H7AL-1 bolts, making them suitable for builds that require reliability under increased power levels. However, proper tuning and clearances are essential for optimal performance.
