Part Description

Manufactured from USA made oversized proprietary steel forgings to enable proper grain flow and guarantee removal of any surface inclusions, CP-Carrillo ensures strength and durability of each Carrillo rod. Consistent and reliable from the first point of precision manufacturing all the way to extreme uses in racing world, exclusive Carrillo H beam and Pro (S)A designs offer the highest strength-to-weight ratio; 100 traceability; multi-step final inspection;

Fatigue and over-revving are the two major causes of connecting rod failure.  CP Carrillo rods are not only stronger than OEM rods, but they are lighter weight, which means less weight for the engine to throw around at high RPM, and more horsepower output.

What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the recommended machining for the Carrillo PRO-H conrods for the Yamaha YZF-R6?

The Carrillo PRO-H conrods may require honing of the big-end bore to ensure proper fitment with the crankshaft journals. It's essential to check the clearances and perform any necessary machining to achieve the correct specifications.

What are the benefits of using Carrillo PRO-H conrods in my Yamaha YZF-R6?

Carrillo PRO-H conrods are designed for high-performance applications, offering a superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to OEM rods. They are manufactured from high-quality 4330M steel, which enhances durability and reduces the risk of fatigue failure, especially under high RPM conditions.

Can I use these conrods with aftermarket pistons?

Yes, the Carrillo PRO-H conrods can be used with aftermarket pistons, but it's crucial to ensure that the piston pin diameter and overall engine clearances are compatible. Always verify the specifications of both the conrods and pistons to avoid any fitment issues.

What is the weight of the Carrillo PRO-H conrods for the Yamaha YZF-R6?

Each Carrillo PRO-H conrod weighs approximately 242 grams. This lightweight design contributes to improved engine responsiveness and performance, particularly at high RPM.

What is the significance of the 8mm CARR bolts used in these conrods?

The 8mm CARR bolts provide enhanced clamping force and reliability under high-stress conditions. These bolts are specifically designed for performance applications, ensuring that the conrods maintain integrity even during extreme use.
