Part Description

Manufactured from USA made oversized proprietary steel forgings to enable proper grain flow and guarantee removal of any surface inclusions, CP-Carrillo ensures strength and durability of each Carrillo rod. Consistent and reliable from the first point of precision manufacturing all the way to extreme uses in racing world, exclusive Carrillo H beam and Pro (S)A designs offer the highest strength-to-weight ratio; Custom designed fasteners; 100 traceability; multi-step final inspection; CP-Carrillo moly based fastener lubrication included.

Fatigue and over-revving are the two major causes of connecting rod failure.  CP Carrillo rods are not only stronger than OEM rods, but they are lighter weight, which means less weight for the engine to throw around at high RPM, and more horsepower output.

What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the recommended machining for the Carrillo PRO-H conrod for the Triumph 1050?

The Carrillo PRO-H conrod may require big-end honing to ensure proper fitment on the crankshaft journal. Always verify the clearances with your specific engine setup to ensure optimal performance.

What are the specifications of the bolts used in the Carrillo PRO-H conrod?

This conrod uses 8mm CARR bolts. When installing, it's crucial to follow the manufacturer's specifications for torque or stretch to ensure proper clamping force and reliability.

What is the weight of the Carrillo PRO-H conrod for the Triumph 1050?

The weight of the Carrillo PRO-H conrod is approximately 330 grams. This lightweight design helps reduce reciprocating mass, which can improve engine responsiveness and performance.

Is the Carrillo PRO-H conrod suitable for racing applications?

Yes, the Carrillo PRO-H conrod is designed for high-performance applications, including racing. Its construction from proprietary 4330M steel and its strength-to-weight ratio make it suitable for demanding conditions, but ensure proper installation and tuning for reliability.

What is the pin diameter of the Carrillo PRO-H conrod?

The pin diameter for the Carrillo PRO-H conrod is 17mm. Ensure that your piston pin fits this specification for correct assembly.
