Part Description

Manufactured from USA made oversized proprietary steel forgings to enable proper grain flow and guarantee removal of any surface inclusions, CP-Carrillo ensures strength and durability of each Carrillo rod. Consistent and reliable from the first point of precision manufacturing all the way to extreme uses in racing world, exclusive Carrillo H beam and Pro (S)A designs offer the highest strength-to-weight ratio; Custom designed fasteners; 100 traceability; multi-step final inspection; CP-Carrillo moly based fastener lubrication included.

Fatigue and over-revving are the two major causes of connecting rod failure.  CP Carrillo rods are not only stronger than OEM rods, but they are lighter weight, which means less weight for the engine to throw around at high RPM, and more horsepower output.

What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the material used for the Carrillo PRO-H conrod for Yamaha FJ1100 and FJ1200?

The Carrillo PRO-H conrod is manufactured from 4330M steel, which provides excellent strength and durability for high-performance applications.

What are the specifications for the big end bore of the Carrillo PRO-H conrod?

The big end bore of the Carrillo PRO-H conrod measures 41.006 mm (1.6144 inches). It's important to verify that your crankshaft journals match this size for proper fitment.

What is the recommended installation procedure for the Carrillo PRO-H conrod?

When installing the Carrillo PRO-H conrod, ensure that the big end and small end are properly honed to fit the respective crankshaft and piston pin. Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for torque specifications and ensure all components are clean and free of debris.

Can the Carrillo PRO-H conrod be used in racing applications?

Yes, the Carrillo PRO-H conrod is designed for high-performance use, including racing applications. Its lightweight construction and high strength-to-weight ratio make it suitable for extreme conditions, but always ensure that your engine is properly built and tuned to maximise reliability.

What is the weight of the Carrillo PRO-H conrod?

The Carrillo PRO-H conrod weighs 356 grams. This lightweight design helps reduce reciprocating mass, contributing to improved engine performance at high RPM.
