Part Description |
Manufactured from USA made oversized proprietary steel forgings to enable proper grain flow and guarantee removal of any surface inclusions, CP-Carrillo ensures strength and durability of each Carrillo rod. Consistent and reliable from the first point of precision manufacturing all the way to extreme uses in racing world, exclusive Carrillo H beam and Pro (S)A designs offer the highest strength-to-weight ratio; Custom designed fasteners; 100 traceability; multi-step final inspection; CP-Carrillo moly based fastener lubrication included. |
Fatigue and over-revving are the two major causes of connecting rod failure. CP Carrillo rods are not only stronger than OEM rods, but they are lighter weight, which means less weight for the engine to throw around at high RPM, and more horsepower output.

What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?
These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.
Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?
No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.
Do the big end and small end need machining?
They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.
What is the recommended machining for the Carrillo PRO-H conrod for the Triumph Trident T150?
The Carrillo PRO-H conrod may require honing of the big-end bore to ensure a proper fit with the crankshaft journal. It's crucial to check the clearances and ensure they meet the specifications for optimal performance.
What are the benefits of using the Carrillo PRO-H conrod in my Triumph Trident T150?
The Carrillo PRO-H conrod is designed for strength and durability, offering a higher strength-to-weight ratio compared to OEM rods. This can lead to improved performance and reliability, especially in high RPM applications.
What type of fasteners are included with the Carrillo PRO-H conrod?
The Carrillo PRO-H conrod features 5/16 CARR bolts, which are designed for high performance. Ensure you follow the manufacturer's guidelines for installation and tightening to maintain the integrity of the conrod.
Is there a specific weight consideration when using the Carrillo PRO-H conrod?
The Carrillo PRO-H conrod weighs 425 grams, which is lighter than many OEM alternatives. This reduction in weight can enhance engine responsiveness and overall performance, particularly in racing or high-performance applications.
How does the material of the Carrillo PRO-H conrod affect its performance?
The Carrillo PRO-H conrod is made from 4330M steel, which is known for its strength and fatigue resistance. This material choice ensures that the conrod can withstand the stresses of high-performance applications while maintaining reliability.
