Part Description

Manufactured from USA made oversized proprietary steel forgings to enable proper grain flow and guarantee removal of any surface inclusions, CP-Carrillo ensures strength and durability of each Carrillo rod. Consistent and reliable from the first point of precision manufacturing all the way to extreme uses in racing world, exclusive Carrillo H beam and Pro (S)A designs offer the highest strength-to-weight ratio; 100 traceability; multi-step final inspection;

Fatigue and over-revving are the two major causes of connecting rod failure.  CP Carrillo rods are not only stronger than OEM rods, but they are lighter weight, which means less weight for the engine to throw around at high RPM, and more horsepower output.

What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What are the specifications of the Carrillo PRO-H conrod for the Kawasaki KRX1000 Teryx?

The Carrillo PRO-H conrod for the Kawasaki KRX1000 Teryx features a big end bore of 44mm, a rod centre to centre length of 128.5mm, and a pin diameter of 21mm. It is constructed from 4330M steel and is designed for two-cylinder applications.

What is the weight of the Carrillo PRO-H conrod?

The Carrillo PRO-H conrod weighs approximately 4363 grams, which contributes to reduced overall engine weight and improved performance at high RPM.

Does the Carrillo PRO-H conrod require any specific machining or clearances?

While the Carrillo PRO-H conrod is designed for a precise fit, it may require big-end or small-end honing to ensure proper clearances due to manufacturing tolerances. Always consult with your engine builder for specific machining requirements.

What type of applications is the Carrillo PRO-H conrod suitable for?

The Carrillo PRO-H conrod is suitable for high-performance applications in off-road and dirt bike environments, particularly in the Kawasaki KRX1000 Teryx, where durability and strength are critical.

What is the advantage of using Carrillo PRO-H conrods over OEM rods?

Carrillo PRO-H conrods are designed to be stronger and lighter than OEM rods, which helps reduce engine weight and allows for higher RPM operation. This results in improved performance and reliability under extreme conditions.
