Part Description |
Manufactured from USA made oversized proprietary steel forgings to enable proper grain flow and guarantee removal of any surface inclusions, CP-Carrillo ensures strength and durability of each Carrillo rod. Consistent and reliable from the first point of precision manufacturing all the way to extreme uses in racing world, exclusive Carrillo H beam and Pro (S)A designs offer the highest strength-to-weight ratio; 100 traceability; multi-step final inspection; |
Fatigue and over-revving are the two major causes of connecting rod failure. CP Carrillo rods are not only stronger than OEM rods, but they are lighter weight, which means less weight for the engine to throw around at high RPM, and more horsepower output.

What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?
These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.
Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?
No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.
Do the big end and small end need machining?
They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.
What are the key features of the Carrillo PRO-H Conrod for the Kawasaki Ninja 400?
The Carrillo PRO-H Conrod for the Kawasaki Ninja 400 is made from 4330M steel, ensuring high strength and durability. It features a tapered design, a big end bore of 38mm, and is designed for high-performance applications, making it suitable for both street and racing use.
What is the recommended machining process for the Carrillo PRO-H Conrod?
When installing the Carrillo PRO-H Conrod, it's essential to check the big-end bore for proper clearance. Depending on the specific engine and its condition, honing may be required to ensure a precise fit on the crankshaft journal.
What are the weight specifications for the Carrillo PRO-H Conrod?
The Carrillo PRO-H Conrod weighs 253 grams. This lightweight design contributes to reduced reciprocating mass, which can enhance engine responsiveness and performance at high RPM.
How does the use of CARR bolts affect the performance of the conrod?
The CARR bolts used in the Carrillo PRO-H Conrod provide superior strength and reliability compared to standard bolts. This allows the conrod to withstand higher loads and stresses, making it suitable for performance applications where durability is critical.
What should I consider regarding installation and fitment of the Carrillo PRO-H Conrod?
Ensure that the conrod is properly aligned during installation and that all clearances are checked according to the engine builder's specifications. It's also advisable to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for bolt tightening to maintain the integrity of the assembly.
