What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the recommended application for the Carrillo Conrods SCR12589?

The Carrillo Conrods SCR12589 are designed specifically for the Toyota 3RZE engine, making them suitable for performance builds and applications where increased strength and reliability are required, such as in motorsport or high-performance street use.

What machining considerations should I be aware of when installing these conrods?

When installing the SCR12589 conrods, it's important to check the big-end and small-end clearances. Depending on the specific engine and its condition, you may need to hone the big-end to achieve the correct fit on the crankshaft journals and ensure proper lubrication.

What is the weight of the Carrillo Conrods SCR12589?

The total weight of each Carrillo Conrod SCR12589 is approximately 700 grams, with a rotating weight of 490 grams and a reciprocating weight of 210 grams. This weight contributes to the overall performance characteristics of your engine.

Are there any specific installation tips for the SCR12589 conrods?

When installing the SCR12589 conrods, ensure that you use the appropriate ARP fasteners and follow the recommended torque or stretch specifications. Additionally, verify that the conrods are oriented correctly and that all surfaces are clean to prevent any contamination during assembly.

What is the expected delivery time for the SCR12589 conrods?

The Carrillo Conrods SCR12589 are special order items. If not in stock at CP Carrillo, please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. You will be notified of the estimated time of arrival if there are any delays.
