What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the recommended machining for the SCR4856 conrods?

The SCR4856 conrods may require big-end honing to ensure proper fitment with the crankshaft journals. It's essential to check the clearances and make any necessary adjustments based on your specific engine setup.

What are the specifications for the big end bore of the SCR4856 conrods?

The big end bore for the SCR4856 conrods is 1.8903 inches (48.014 mm). Ensure that your crankshaft journals are within the appropriate tolerances for optimal performance.

What is the weight of the SCR4856 conrods?

The total weight of the SCR4856 conrods is 416 grams, with a rotating weight of 291 grams and a reciprocating weight of 125 grams. This weight distribution is designed to enhance performance in high-revving applications.

Are the SCR4856 conrods suitable for high-performance applications?

Yes, the SCR4856 conrods are designed for high-performance use, featuring a proprietary steel forging process that provides excellent strength-to-weight ratios. However, ensure proper machining and tuning to maximise reliability and performance.

What is the pin width of the SCR4856 conrods?

The pin width of the SCR4856 conrods is 0.86 inches (21.84 mm). Make sure to verify that your pistons are compatible with this pin width for correct assembly.
