What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What are the specific machining requirements for the Carrillo conrods for the K20C1?

The Carrillo conrods for the K20C1 may require honing of the big-end or small-end due to variations in journal and pin sizes. It's essential to check clearances and ensure proper fitment before installation.

What is the weight of the Carrillo conrods for the K20C1?

The total weight of each Carrillo conrod for the K20C1 is approximately 557 grams, with a rotating weight of 381 grams and a reciprocating weight of 176 grams. This weight contributes to the overall performance of the engine.

What is the recommended application for these conrods?

These Carrillo conrods are designed for high-performance applications, including racing and modified street engines. They offer a high strength-to-weight ratio, making them suitable for applications that demand reliability under extreme conditions.

How do I ensure the correct fitment of these conrods in my K20C1 engine?

To ensure correct fitment, verify that the conrod dimensions match your engine specifications. Additionally, confirm that the big-end and small-end clearances are within acceptable limits as specified by your engine builder.

Are there any specific installation considerations for these conrods?

When installing the Carrillo conrods, ensure that you follow the manufacturer's guidelines for torque specifications and lubrication. It's also advisable to check for any necessary line boring of main caps or girdles after installation.
