What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What are the specifications of the Carrillo conrods for the Honda B18C?

The Carrillo conrods for the Honda B18C (GSR) have a centre-to-centre length of 5.423 inches (137.75 mm), a big end bore of 1.8898 inches (48 mm), and a pin bore of 21 mm. They are designed with a 3/8 bolt size and feature a big end width of 0.856 inches (21.74 mm).

What machining considerations should I be aware of when installing these conrods?

When installing the Carrillo conrods, it's essential to check the big-end and small-end for proper fitment. Depending on the specific engine and its tolerances, honing may be required to achieve the correct clearances. Always consult with your engine builder for precise machining requirements.

Are these conrods suitable for high-performance applications?

Yes, these Carrillo conrods are designed for high-performance applications, offering a high strength-to-weight ratio and reliability for racing use. However, the overall performance and reliability will depend on proper machining, tuning, and the quality of fuel used.

What is the weight of the Carrillo conrods for the B18C?

The total weight of the Carrillo conrods is not specified in the product details. For precise weight measurements, it is recommended to weigh them directly or consult with Carrillo for specific data.

How long does it take to receive these conrods if they are not in stock?

If the Carrillo conrods are not in stock, please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. CP Carrillo will provide an estimated time of arrival (ETA) if there are any delays.
