What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What are the specific machining requirements for the Carrillo conrods for the 2.3L Ecoboost?

These Carrillo conrods may require honing of the big-end and small-end to achieve the correct clearances depending on the specific crankshaft and piston pin sizes. Always verify with your engine builder for precise machining needs.

What is the weight of the Carrillo conrods for the 2.3L Ecoboost?

The total weight of each Carrillo conrod is approximately 570 grams, with a rotating weight of 388 grams and a reciprocating weight of 182 grams. This weight contributes to the overall performance characteristics of your engine.

Are these conrods suitable for high-performance applications?

Yes, the Carrillo conrods are designed for high-performance applications, including racing. Their H beam design and proprietary steel forging provide a high strength-to-weight ratio, making them suitable for extreme use. However, ensure proper installation and tuning to maximise reliability.

What is the pin bore size for these conrods?

The pin bore size for the Carrillo conrods for the 2.3L Ecoboost is 22.5mm. Ensure that your pistons are compatible with this pin size for proper fitment.

What is the expected delivery time for these conrods?

These conrods are special order items. If not in stock at CP Carrillo, please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. You will be notified of the estimated time of arrival if there are any delays.
