What bolts do these conrods use and how should I tighten them?

These rods use ARP conrod bolts, usually ARP2000 as standard with L19 or CA625+ available on some models. ARP2000 bolts are generally torqued to around 55 ft-lb for 3/8 inch and around 75 ft-lb for 7/16 inch when using ARP Ultra-Torque lube. L19 bolts must be tightened by stretch, not torque. Always refer to the latest ARP instructions for exact specifications.

Do these conrods have a horsepower rating or warranty?

No. Like other performance rods, they do not carry a horsepower or performance warranty. Spool warrants workmanship before installation, but once fitted, power handling depends entirely on machining, clearances, tuning, fuel, boost level and rpm.

Do the big end and small end need machining?

They often do. Crank journals and pin bores vary between engines, so your builder should measure the big end oil clearance and small end pin clearance and hone as required before assembly.

What is the recommended machining for the Carrillo conrods SCR5345-12?

The Carrillo conrods SCR5345-12 may require big-end honing to ensure proper fitment on the crankshaft journals, as factory tolerances can vary. Always check the clearances and consult your engine builder for specific machining requirements.

What is the weight of the Carrillo conrods SCR5345-12?

The total weight of each Carrillo conrod SCR5345-12 is approximately 504 grams, with a rotating weight of 347 grams and a reciprocating weight of 157 grams. This weight contributes to the overall performance and balance of your engine.

Can the Carrillo conrods SCR5345-12 be used in both 8 and 12 cylinder Ferrari engines?

Yes, the Carrillo conrods SCR5345-12 are designed for use in both 8 and 12 cylinder Ferrari engines, including models like the 308, 328, 348, and Testarossa. Ensure compatibility with your specific engine configuration before installation.

What are the specifications for the big end bore of the SCR5345-12 conrods?

The big end bore of the Carrillo conrods SCR5345-12 measures 1.8557 inches (47.135 mm). It's crucial to verify that this measurement aligns with your crankshaft specifications for optimal performance.

What is the centre-to-centre length of the SCR5345-12 conrods?
