ARP Head Stud Installation
Correct installation is essential. Before assembly, inspect and clean the block threads, confirm hole depth and check the clearance and seating of all washers, nuts and supplied hardware.
Always follow the current instructions supplied with the specific ARP kit. Use the specified lubricant or thread sealer and follow the recommended tightening sequence and torque procedure. Do not reuse a torque figure from another engine, fastener material or ARP kit, as the required procedure can differ between applications.
ARP recommends its Ultra-Torque fastener assembly lubricant where specified to produce a more accurate and repeatable clamping load. If the instructions supplied with the kit differ from general torque recommendations, the kit-specific instructions should be followed.
